xylitol music box
the xylitol music box is a special gum dispenser, designed and made by lotte to embody the heritage of both lotte and the 'xylitol' brand.
the transparent cover reveals an intricate mechanism inside that works in unison with the swiss music box. when played, it plays the iconic lotte commercial song from the 1980s.
through the creation and revision of numerous prototypes, we developed a structure that functions correctly. not only the design and shape of the movement but also the materials and surface treatments affected its operation.
